ALTA’s Best Practices are designed to provide guidance to real estate settlement companies in ensuring compliance with applicable laws, the protection of personal information and responsible business practices. Title Services Corporation also has received its SSAE 16 SOC-1 attestation following an extensive and comprehensive audit by an independent national SSAE 16 auditing firm. The audit consisted of an in-depth analysis and evaluation of Title Services’ business, operational, accounting, financial, security and technological controls related to our real estate title and settlement operations. Although we previously had adopted and embraced the Best Practices Standards of the American Land Title Association, we wanted to take our commitment to doing the right things the right way to the next level.
